Overview
Willow Creek Pass is a low pass on the Continental Divide, only 9,683 feet in elevation, but gives the traveler wondrous views of the Rockies and plenty of hiking access.
Driving Directions
From the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park in Granby, you can catch Colorado Highway 125. Simply follow this scenic highway over Willow Creek Pass to Walden, Colorado.

The trip from Granby to Walden is about 56 miles and takes a little over an hour.
Highlights
- Continental Divide National Scenic Trail
This trail crosses Highway 125 and you can access it from a pull-off on the east side of the road at Willow Creek Pass. The trail is perfect for hiking and backpacking, and while some segments are good for horseback riding and mountain biking, it’s best to contact the National Forest Service for more information on where to take a horse or bike. - Parkview Mountain
This mountain is the highest peak in the east/west Rabbit Ears Range. This is a great mountain for a nice Class II hike or a Class III climb. On the north side of the peak above the headwaters of Willow Creek, you will find a Class IV climbing route. At the top a historic fire lookout begs exploration and the views are amazing. - Wildlife Viewing
You’ll undoubtedly see some antelope and elk on your journey over the pass, with the possibility of spotting many other species of wildlife in the forests and on the ranchlands.
